Michelle Blanchard Ardillo

Taking a moment today to give a prayer of thanksgiving for my lovely mother, Margaret Harvey Blanchard (bottom of photo) on her birthday. She would be 91 today. I have missed her so much, especially since my dad is also gone. Today is also the Feast Day of St. Margaret of Scotland, which was so special since she was born on this day in Galveston, Texas. My grandparents, Patrick and Margaret Harvey, immigrated to the US from Glasgow, Scotland. They died so very young and left my mom and my lovely Nanny Pat (top of photo) all alone in America. I am thankful every day for the many lessons she taught me, especially my Catholic faith, my Scottish heritage, my love of reading, and my strong work ethic.
