Love love loved this. How often has Mike asked couples we know how they met. And yet THIS story was news to us.
While growing up in the orbit of New York City, I had heard about those big Italian family Sunday dinners but have never been to one. Apparently they were universal among extended Italian families across the country! If you two ever host one, please invite us and I’ll bring sausage and peppers, which is a NY staple. (So much so that when the MetOpera staged a classic in a modern setting of Coney Island (Brooklyn), they had a sausage-and-peppers stand as part of the set.)

Absolutely loved it. After reading it and knowing things you left out, ualls story probably has enough for several mpte articles. Just the chilli story by itself for example. Love the article and love you both

Tom says I should write the chili story today, since, as we speak, there is a fresh pot of chili warming in the slow cooker for dinner during the Super Bowl!
