I haven’t posted a book review in a while, and it’s because I have been head down, nose in a book, since September 26th, when I started the Emma Lion series by Beth Brower. Once I started, I just couldn’t stop. Last week, I finished Volume 8, and I couldn’t read anything for a few days because I was so sad they were all done. Volume 9 (already preordered) comes out February 23, 2027, so I have quite a bit of a wait.
And, so, that is why I’ve been radio silent since September 15th, when I last reviewed a book here on my website.
Right now, I am reading The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett, and I must say, what a shock to my reading senses it is. I mean, going from Victorian England to the Depression Era Deep South, need I say more? In fact, more on that later, when I’ve finished it.
In the meantime, if you need to immerse yourself in the warmth, humor, and humanity of some really good books, please check out the Emma Lion series. I will be writing a review on books 1-8 soon, once I’ve decided just how to do so. Until then, happy reading, everyone!
